Discovering the Places Where Heaven and Earth Come Closer
John Macgee wrote about his experience flying airplanes in "High Flight." At the end of the poem, he says that when he is in the sky, he can "put out [his] hand and touch the face of God."
Do you have a place where you can feel as though you can do the same thing, where heaven and Earth seem to touch to give you a glimpse of the divine? The ancient Celtic Christians called these places "thin places" or "thin spaces."
We will explore our personal "thin places" through contemplative photography practices, visual journaling, and writing.
